Yurok Telecommunications (YTEL) provides affordable wireless internet service to residents and businesses on the Yurok Reservation. Our mission is to ensure that every household has access to reliable, high-quality internet. Currently, we operate on a robust wireless network, and we’re excited to share that in 2026 we will begin offering fiber internet service bringing even faster speeds and greater reliability to our community.

How do I know if my area is covered?

One of our skilled technicians can come out and check your coverage at no cost to you. We’ll let you know right away if your location can be connected to our wireless network.

What makes YTEL different from other providers?

Yurok Telecommunications Corporation is a 100% tribally owned internet provider. We are dedicated to keeping our community connected because we’re serving our own families, neighbors, and elders. Rain or shine, our team works hard to make sure our people have reliable access to the internet for school, work, health care, and staying in touch with loved ones.

What are your internet service plans?

We offer a variety of packages to fit your needs:

  • Standard Residential Plan: 5 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload

  • Premium Residential Plan: 10 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload

  • Commercial Packages: Custom options available for businesses and organizations

All of our plans are designed to be affordable for households on the Yurok Reservation.

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts are required. We offer simple month-to-month service so you can stay connected without the stress of being locked into a contract.

What type of network do you use?

Right now, we use a strong and reliable wireless network to serve homes and businesses across the reservation. This allows us to reach rural areas that other providers often overlook. In 2026, YTEL will begin offering fiber internet service, which will deliver faster speeds, more stability, and room for growth as technology needs expand.
